1st Edition Ornament Model

This 1^st Edition Ornament Model of the 150 year old hardware store will bring back memories of strolling through and listening to the old floor creak as you shop for that perfect gift.  The ornament also includes a magnet on the back for those that would like to display it on their refrigerator instead.

Carthage Hardware is an icon in the Carthage community. Opening in this building in 1878, then purchased in 2020 by Eddie and Melanie Grundy with daughter Hannah. The Grundy family has a long and fond history with Carthage Hardware dating back to Christmas 1963.  When Grandmother Bea Grundy went to work wrapping Christmas presents.  Later Ed Grundy Sr. became the store manager after serving in the United States Marine Corps. Carthage Hardware has a strong focus of serving the community that has supported the store for so many years.  

Commission by local artist Clint Diener.  All proceeds go to the historic preservation of the building.
