This unique piece of artwork represents the excitement and spirit of the Christmas season centered on our 150 year old hardware store.  Many visiting the store, enjoy remembering trips with parents, grandparents and strolling through all the toys, sleds and other eye popping wonders. Hopeful of the Christmas presents soon to be under the tree. 

Carthage Hardware is an icon in the Carthage community. Opening in this building in 1878, then purchased in 2020 by Eddie and Melanie Grundy with daughter Hannah. The Grundy family has a long and fond history with Carthage Hardware dating back to Christmas 1963.  When Grandmother Bea Grundy went to work wrapping Christmas presents.  Later Ed Grundy Sr. became the store manager after serving in the United States Marine Corps. Carthage Hardware has a strong focus of serving the community that has supported the store for so many years.  

Commissioned by local artist Tom Jones in 2024.  These prints are signed and numbered by the artist. Tom's art is widely known for it's whimsical characters and style that just make you smile.  We much appreciate Tom's talents and attention to detail that makes this piece truly a must have for anyone's collection.
